Are there any side effects to consuming Enfamil Nutramagin?
Enfamil Nutramigen is a terrific product and widely used by numerous families nationwide. However, as with any product an infant will consume, you’ll want to make sure you consider your child’s condition and whether they will have any adverse reactions.
Probably the most commonly mentioned side effect from babies that consume Nutramigen is loose stool or diarrhea. Enfamil Nutramigen is a popular protein hydrolysate baby formula for infants. That means, the formulation is a supposed to be a low-allergy alternative to cow’s milk and also soy formulas, specifically made for children that may have severe, adverse reactions to cow’s milk proteins, whey and casein. In Nutramigen, the proteins are broken down and thus do not require digestion. Therefore, this formula will not condense or add bulk to stools. Hence, loose stool and diarrhea is a common side effect to the product. In addition to loose stool or diarrhea, other side affects may include gas, bloating, or a minor stomach ache.
Infants that consume Nutramigen in infants with certain health conditions may cause some complications or additional systems. For example, infants with type-2 diabetes, liver problems, or babies with general pancreas problems and phenylketonuria, should consult a doctor before consuming the product.
